She wants to grab hold of each day and live in today because a society which tells you to live in tomorrow often forgets to appreciate what they have in their today. They hope to live in tomorrow but only end up living in regret. When Emily Dickinson said, "Forever is composed of nows" and when Eckhart Tolle said," Realize deeply that the present moment is all you have. Make the NOW the primary focus of your life." The author doesn't know why they said what they said and what were they thinking when they said this but their words stayed with her. She doesn't know if forever really exists but if her now is the closest she'll ever have to a forever, then that is exactly where she wants to be.
